On behalf of the Society for Textual Scholarship and SAMLA, I wish to
draw your attention to the following call for papers:

Call for papers

Society for Textual Scholarship affiliated session, SAMLA,
Louisville, Kentucky; 7-9 November 2008

Interpretation and the scene of editing:

This session welcomes proposals on the scholarly editing of literary
texts, broadly conceived. Possible topics include editing as
interpretation; textual instability and problems in textual
construction; the editing of Selected Works or Collected Works;
material textuality; the interpretation and reproduction of
bibliographic codes; electronic editing; radiant textuality; the uses
of electronic archives. Please send 150-word abstract by 31 May 2008
to Jonathan Allison by email at jalliso-AT-uky.edu or at the Department
of English, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40506-0027.
