On behalf of the Society for Textual Scholarship and SAMLA, I wish to
draw your attention again to the following call for papers. Please
note that the deadline has been extended to 15 June 2008.

Call for papers

Society for Textual Scholarship affiliated session, SAMLA, Louisville
Hyatt Regency, Kentucky; 7-9 November 2008

Interpretation and the scene of editing:

This session welcomes proposals on the scholarly editing of literary
texts, broadly conceived. Possible topics include editing as
interpretation; textual instability and problems in textual
construction; the editing of Selected Works or Collected Works;
material textuality; the interpretation and reproduction of
bibliographic codes; electronic editing; radiant textuality; the uses
of electronic archives. Please send 200-word abstract by 15 June 2008
to Jonathan Allison by email at jalliso-AT-uky.edu or at the Department
