        Subject: Arcadia Funds Offline Internet Consortium

Dear colleagues, my time on Humanist began a lifetime ago when almost no
one had anything like broadband.  Now the net has reached half the planet's
population.  To support the rest, we have created the Offline Internet
Consortium, bringing together folks who work with technologies and
strategies for delivering internet-quality information to the
un-networked.  Please see the press release for exciting news of funding
