A wonderful book under many aspects.
Stochastiche Texte, which is probably the second text produced by
programming a digital computer, was created by Theo Lutz on a Z22
computer, the first one being probably Christopher Strachey´s
"Love-letters".
The available sources are discording about the language used by Lutz on
the Z22: most say Fortran, some say ALGOL;
but after browsing the book by Raúl Rojas i feel that neither was in use
on the Zuse computers.
Can anyone confirm or disprove this info?
best
Maurizio
