Subject: Major UCLA Digital Humanities Project Mapping the Israeli-Palestinian Region

Dear Humanist,

I'm reaching out to inquire if you would be interested in helping
us promote our April 28th virtual launch for a major digital humanities
project, created by Dr. Daniel Stein Kokin, that seeks to tell the story of
the Israeli-Palestinian region in a fresh, accessible, and visually
compelling manner (more details below). The UCLA Program for Digital
Humanities is a co-sponsor of this event.

I have attached an informational flyer and included an announcement below
if Humanist is interested in sharing the project details with its listserv.
We greatly appreciate your consideration!

Warmly,

Gage Greenspan

The UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies and the Schusterman Center
for Israel Studies at Brandeis University invite you to attend our webinar this
Monday, April 28th, at 10 AM (Pacific Time)* where Dr. Daniel Stein Kokin
will be launching “Kol ha-Nekudot” / “All the Points” / “Kull al-Nuqaṭ,” a
virtual project that draws upon the dynamism of digital mapping to tell the
story of the Israeli-Palestinian region in a fresh, accessible, and
visually compelling manner.

“All the Points” includes Jewish, Arab, European Christian, and other
communities as equal parties in an ongoing narrative. The project’s main
map traces the founding, disappearance, and evolution of communities on an
annual basis from 1840 to 2023. “All the Points” aspires to be a useful
tool in the classroom and at home, wherever and whenever people wish to
better understand one of the world’s most complicated and intractable
conflicts.
