        Subject: applied philosophy position

My department got a last minute tenure-track line and I would like to
encourage list members to apply—by August 10! We are primarily looking
to add people to our new Applied Philosophy major which has a track in
the “Philosophical Foundations of Computer Science.” Folks who have an
interest spanning computing and philosophy are encouraged to apply.
(Applicants need not have a technical background in CS to apply. A focus
on things like digital capitalism, platform capitalism, surveillance
capitalism, etc. are also welcome). Though the deadline is soon, that
has to do with administration and the financial year end—there is no
internal candidate. Please see the ad below and APPLY!
