Context
Are you a data professional, researcher or practitioner (user) working with data
within or across communities and sectors? This survey is for you!
We are exploring how people engage with federated Digital Research
Infrastructures (DRIs) - or why they don’t. Whether you are an experienced user,
occasional participant, or simply curious about what these infrastructures can
offer, we want to hear from you. Your insights will help us understand the
cultural factors that shape access, use, and inclusion in national compute
services.
We invite you to take part in a short survey (10–15 minutes) for the project:
"Inclusive Futures: Cultural User Stories and Mapping Pathways for National
Federated Compute Services<https://www.ucl.ac.uk/ioe/departments-and-
centres/ucl-knowledge-lab/research-and-consultancy/current-research/inclusive-
futures-user-cultural-stories-and-mapping-pathways-nfcs>" led by UCL Knowledge
Lab, Hartree Centre and Edinburgh Futures Institute. This project is part of the
UKRI National Federated Compute Services, <https://nfcs-networkplus.ac.uk/>
NetworkPlus<https://nfcs-networkplus.ac.uk/>)
Federated DRIs are being developed as inclusive ecosystems that connect
researchers, data professionals and services across institutions, disciplines,
and data types through shared standards and protocols.
Your input – regardless of your current level of involvement – will help us
better understand the cultural factors shaping access and participation. The
findings will inform efforts to make federated compute services more inclusive,
responsive, and useful for a wider range of users.

Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues or networks who might
also be interested.
Thank you for contributing to this important conversation!
