Subject: Umanistica Digitale issues 20 and 21 (2025) are available online
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that Umanistica Digitale (UD), the AIUCD
scientific journal available at
https://umanisticadigitale.unibo.it/index,
has just published issue 21 (2025), which includes contributions on
language studies, artificial intelligence-assisted analysis of historical
images and posters, literary authorship and artificial intelligence,
lexicographical resources on the semantic web, and digital methods
for medieval onomastic data. This issue also includes a rich section
of reports and reviews that link the journal to key debates in Italian and
international digital humanities.
We would also like to remind you that special issue 20 (2025): Digital
Roots and Digital Routes has been available since this summer,
featuring extended versions of a selection of papers originally
presented at the conferences AIUCD2023 Digital Memory. Forms of Text
and Organisation of Knowledge (Siena, 5-7 June 2023) and AIUCD2024
Digital Me.Te. Mediterraneo in rete tra testi e contesti (Catania,
28-30 May 2025), edited by Emmanuela Carbé (University of Siena),
Christian D'Agata (University of Catania), Antonio Di Silvestro
(University of Catania), Mariangela Giglio (University of Bologna),
and Daria Spampinato (CNR ISTC of Catania). This splendid issue, with
over 30 contributions, is the largest in the history of our journal.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of the
editorial and technical teams and the generous pool of peer reviewers:
thank you all. Special thanks to Maria Chiara Succurro and Cecilia
Bruno, our editors-in-chief, and to the AlmaDL Digital Library of the
University of Bologna. And, of course, to all the authors.
We would like to remind you that UD is a scientific journal for areas
10 and 11, band A for SC 10/E1, 10/F1-2-3-4, 11/A1-2-3-4, of the
Italian Ministry of University and is indexed on Scopus
(https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101060465). We and and the
editorial staff of UD therefore renew their invitation to the DH
scientific community to send in proposals.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holiday and
a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
Best regards,
Fabio Ciotti
