Dear Willard

We are very pleased to draw your attention to the publication of the The
Routledge Companion to Digital Humanities in Practice
Edited By Constance Crompton, Laura Estill, Richard Lane, Ray Siemens
https://www.routledge.com/The-Companion-to-Digital-Humanities-in-
Practice/Crompton-Estill-Lane-Siemens/p/book/9781032333854
Available as Open Source and in hardback.

This volume offers international perspectives on how we teach and research in
and with digital humanities today.

Building on the foundation of earlier publications that focused on practice in
the field, this Companion provides a significant treatment of pertinent issues
and contexts, extending breadth and depth, as well as reach, in terms of
geographical diversity of topics and contributors. Divided into four sections,
each with a high-level practice-oriented focus, the volume covers data; tools
and techniques; communication, dissemination, and engagement; and pedagogical
practices. Contributors to the volume include both established and emerging
scholars. Foregrounding and critically reviewing the emergence and development
of standards-based communities of practice, the Companion provides an overview
of core competencies; conceptualized case studies; and links to further reading,
training materials, and exercises.

The Companion to Digital Humanities in Practice will appeal to academics,
researchers, and postgraduate students working in DH, literary studies, history,
and the humanities more broadly. It should also be of interest to professionals
working in DH and galleries, libraries, archives, and museums.

This is the third volume in the Routledge Companions to the Digital Humanities

Dear Willard

We are very pleased to draw your attention to the publication of Evolving
Perspectives on Digital Classics
Edited By Clelia R. LaMonica and Anna Foka:
https://www.routledge.com/Evolving-Perspectives-on-Digital-Classics/RLaMonica-
Foka/p/book/9781032899824
It is available in Hardback and eBook formats.

This volume contributes to a broader understanding of how digital humanities
methods enhance classical studies. It offers an overview of current approaches
and considers how new techniques can address diverse research questions.
Although its primary focus is on the Greco-Roman world, the methods and
approaches it describes have much wider relevance to other ancient cultures.

It includes contributions from Sweden, Norway, Greece, Italy, the US, the UK,
and Australia and primarily examines ancient textual and material data that
connect multiple disciplines, focusing on what researchers can do beyond rigid
boundaries. Part I discusses annotating and describing ancient narratives and
entities. Part II explores the digital representation and modelling of ancient
spaces. Part III highlights computational and AI-driven literary analysis. Part
IV focuses on philological methods in digital text analysis. Part V considers
innovative applications in cultural and educational contexts.

The volume demonstrates how digital methodologies can deepen understanding of
the ancient world. It encourages readers to adopt sound practices in data
curation and analysis. It will appeal to scholars and students from a wide range
of disciplines, including digital humanities, classics, philology, archaeology,
and ancient history.

Evolving Perspectives on Digital Classics is the 49th volume in the series
