Another bit more on concordances: When I started working at the Norwegian
Computing Center for the Humanities at the Univ. of Bergen in 1984 work was
going on there on a concordance to Henrik Ibsen´s works. The concordance was
supposed to be printed, and a print file was to be generated on a Sperry/Unisys
mainframe and used on a phototypesetter. Technical development overtook this
project. When software like for instance TACT developed at the University of
Toronto became available and a user could generate concordances on the fly parts
of this Ibsen project was obsolete. Of course establishing the text archive had
and still has a lasting value - the texts from this project were later used in
the digital edition project "Henrik Ibsen´s Writings", but the printed
concordance was a thing of the past. For various personal reasons a small number
of printed copies of the concordance were  made available in 1993:
