        Subject: Call for Applications – Two Postdoctoral Positions in Digital Humanities and performing arts (ERC STAGE)

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the opening of two postdoctoral positions within the
ERC project STAGE: From Stage to Data, the Digital Turn of Contemporary
Performing Arts Historiography. The project explores how computational methods
can contribute to a new understanding of mise en scène and creative processes in
Europe since WWII.

The exact position titles are:

1. Postdoc in Digital Humanities (Computer Vision & Performing Arts)

This position seeks a researcher with expertise in computer vision to analyze
visual and audiovisual traces of performance (photographs, video recordings of
performances).

2. Postdoctoral Position (3 years) in Digital Humanities and Performing Arts
History

This position focuses on the quantitative analysis of theatre programs as data
sources for understanding artistic and institutional developments in the 20th
and 21st centuries.

Both positions are based in Rennes (France) within an interdisciplinary team,
for 3 years . Application deadline: September 8, 2025.
