Dear Colleagues,

the latest issue of *Umanistica Digitale, 23 (2026), has been
published. This special issue contains the proceedings of the
international workshop *Digital Latin 2* (Siena, 4–6 June 2025),
entitled "Digital Latin. Computational Infrastructures for Research on
Latin Language and Literature”.

The volume opens with an overview of major digital infrastructures and
platforms for research on Latin language and philology, including
LaLaLexiT, ALIM (Archivio della latinità italiana del Medioevo),
SERICA, CLARIN-IT, DigiLibLT, The Latin Text Archive, Thesaurus
Linguae Latinae, Mittellateinisches Wörterbuch, Digital Latin Library,
Hyperbase, Mirabile Digital Library, Corpus Corporum, ELA (Eurasian
Latin Archive), Musisque Deoque, Collatinus, Lexicon, Corpus
Rhythmorum Musicum, and RAMMSES. The issue also presents ongoing
research projects and introduces several new digital tools currently
under development.

A second section gathers peer-reviewed contributions devoted to case
studies in textual and linguistic research whose methodologies and
results have been improved, expanded, or made possible through the use
of these tools.

The third edition of the Workshop, dedicated to the use of artificial
intelligence in lexical studies and lexicography, will take place in
Siena at the Santa Chiara Lab on 15–16 June 2026. The event is
co-sponsored by Università di Siena (Centro Studi Comparati “I
Deug-Su”, DFCLAM), Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, Università del
Piemonte Orientale, and CNR Pisa. Further information is available at
